This edition will feature a weeklong affair with all of these elements present: music () as well as diverse†art installations ( Aerosol writing, photography, film) and multi media slide
shows.
It will also feature a fashion show to demonstrate the style of the streets
as well as it’s annual affair where party goers will catch ’s
elements in the shape of D.J.S and the music and art on the turntables.
Flava will take Aerosol Writing to a different dimension.with lyrical microphone perfection and the finest B’Boys (dancers) breaking in the revolutionized forms of it’s South Bronx New York origins, to the music that started and the dance
trends captivating and addictive world wide phenomenon.
For those who don’t know is a cultural collective which nucleus
consists of many forms of popular music ( )
which set the tones for it’s atmosphere of D.J.’s, M.C.’s (Masters of
Ceremonies) extraordinary dancers and party freaks who live and vibe for
it’s diverse dynamic of sound.
In the context of that nucleus exists it’s
dance, D.J. , Microphone/M.C., and aerosol components (so to speak) of
which there will be free workshops of throughout the week.
Keep in mind that within this mix an array of artists will enter and exit
the stages for not one but two weekends of ruckus.
This years Flava (as in flavour) will without a doubt be one for the eyes and
ears of the beholder†to savour.
Among many showcases this year’s installation
will feature “A Sound Clash†And Fun Splash”.
It will host the
best of the best in Italia’s and pavilions,will go head to head in the
tradition of the Jamaican Yard battles for rhythm rocking supremacy.
Booming
bass dub plate vibes and the sounds of yards finest artists will be put to a
test with a wit of wax and D.J. mix and blend.
Witness the true meaning of
“The Boom Shack Attack” without having to purchase a ticket to the
Caribbean.
This brings us to counter part of beats and rhymes as some of
Italy’s most noted and longstanding acts will perform live on stage,
representing culture.
Super devoted veterans plus special international guest
line up event will be host by one of the south bronx veteran (Domenicano ) who will
demonstrate what jams are all about, with his “How To Rock A Party, Party
Session” and get the party and its people started.
